Vinegar! Who Knew?

So I just recently fell in love with Pintrest. Yeah, I know, I’m behind on times. My sister- in- law was so obsessed with me getting a pintrest account that I finally did and now I’m hooked. People are so creative, it baffles me. I cannot imagine all of those thoughts in my head. How can you take something basic and look at it and decide it could be something beautiful. It’s amazing and I have found so many great ideas to try.

So today I have been doing some spring cleaning and came across some ideas on pintrest and wanted to share them with you all. Again I take no credit for the ideas, just wanted to share.

Clean your microwave with vinegar. I have heard of this, but never actually done it. Just used 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar in a bowl and microwaved for 5 minutes. All of the nasty gunk wiped right of with a rag. Such a great tip. It did leave my kitchen smelling funky for a little bit, but it was worth it.

Unclog those drains with vinegar. Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of vinegar. You have to let it foam and once the foaming goes away some, follow with a gallon of boiling water. This really does work and it’s much cheaper than running to the store for a drain cleaner. I have used this before and sometimes if the drain is really bad I have to do the process twice.

Use vinegar to clean up that wood furniture. Making this furniture polish is easy and actually leaves your furniture with a shine. Get a spray bottle and combine 1/4 cup of olive oil, 4 tablespoons of vinegar, and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Shake it up before you use it and you will have cheap, but effective furniture polish. Store it in the fridge.

I love all of these ideas and used them today for my cleaning. They are very effective and the best part, super cheap!!!!
