I had acne as a teenager and unfortunately it followed me into adulthood. I have tried all the medicine and creams you can think of, but it still hangs around. So, I am always looking for new ways to get rid of the very annoying bumps.
Home Remedy 1-
Toothpaste– this one I have been using for years. My dermatologist told me about it when I was a teenager. It has to be the paste NOT GEL. You apply it right before bed and leave it on while you sleep. The paste dries and in effect reduces the swelling and inflammation. It actually works!
Home Remedy 2-
Apple Cider Vinegar– This helps your skin in many ways, not just treating acne. It softens, exfoliates, reduces red marks and treats acne. It will improve your overall complexion. You make a simple toner using 1/2 water and 1/2 apple cider vinegar and store it in a glass jar for up to a week. If the acid proves too strong for your skin type then take the ratio to 1:4 so that there is less apple cider vinegar.
Home Remedy 3-
Baking Soda Paste– This will help acne as well as red spots. Use a couple tablespoons of baking soda and mix with about a teaspoon of water. This makes a paste. Make sure it is not too thick. Apply to a damp face and rub for 1 minute then rinse off.
All of these have helped tremendously in the past for me so check them out and see if they can make your complexion stand out.
