Mary Kay Review

So my sister in law started selling Mary Kay a while back and has been trying to sell me some. I had tried Mary Kay maybe 8 or 9 years ago with good results. Granted I was late teens and only used a face wash and acne gel, but I still had decent results with it. Once I lost the Mary Kay rep I just moved on to other products and had not really thought about trying it again. Then my sister in law really asked me to give it a shot so I decided to try them.

I now have the entire TimeWise Miracle Set and the TimeWise Firming Eye Cream (all of which are shown below courtesy of Mary Kay website)

First a few comment from the website about the eye cream:

“This luxuriously rich eye cream is so advanced it improves firmness, brightens and provides intense moisturization, plus minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Contains soothing botanical extracts and brightening agents to help condition the skin for moisturization, resulting in a more even skin tone.”

And the TimeWise Miracle Set:

“With 11 age-defying benefits in one system, the TimeWise® Miracle Set® is clinically shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and help improve skin elasticity and even skin tone.”

I have to start by saying being that I am 27 years old I don’t have the fine lines yet so I can’t exactly tell you whether thew product will decrease them or not. I have always heard that you should start the anti- aging products BEFORE the wrinkles start. So that is what I am trying to do and keeping my fingers crossed that it keeps the lines away as long as possible. Here’s to hoping.
I do love the eye cream. It really seems to hydrate under my eyes and has brightened it up. I always seemed to look like I haven’t gotten enough sleep (hmm I wonder, being a wife and mother….no that couldn’t be it.) but this product has really made a difference in about 3 weeks. It gave me exactly what I was looking for.
The Miracle set is mixed for me. The morning routine includes washing your face with the 3 in 1 cleanser, the day solution sunscreen and the age fighting moisturizer. After using only the cleanser my face is super dry. I mean very dry, so I immediately apply the other two products to give my skin some hydration. I love how soft my skin feels with these products. It is silky smooth and even my husband noticed. At night is the 3 in 1 cleanser along with the night solution which I also love. I used the night time regimen on my husband and saw a huge difference after only one use. The positives after 3 weeks of use are great. My face feels amazing instead of rough and dry. My complexion is better and looks healthier. The last big difference for me might sound bad, but for any woman truly interested in gaining healthy skin this is a big one. After a couple of weeks of use it has begun to pull the junk inside my pores. Everyday it’s like it pulls all of that oil and build up to the top and has really begun to clean out my pores. While it’s cleaning them out they are beginning to shrink. I think that once the majority is out this will decrease as they shrink and the build up stays to a minimum. That to me was a big deal. To see a product that would shrink my pores is a win for me. The only negative for me has been involving the moisturizer. I have had some major breakouts with moisturizer. Of course a dermatologist once told me that if you begin to break out with new products you need to give them about a month before throwing in the towel. So I haven’t lost hope yet. This is nearing the end of week 3 and I am going to continue use as instructed and give it a chance. If, of course, the breakouts continue then I will have to switch back to my old moisturizer (even though it does not work as well) because I can’t stand acne.
