First I want to start off by saying that my camera is broken (as I said a few posts ago about my Christmas Eve fiasco) and therefore all of the pictures I have provided are not from my craft session. Unfortunatly I could not show you my projects or steps due to my very finicky camera. I had to use the photos from the magazine that I found these projects in.
These are so cute and great for a Valentine party or gift. The kids will find this project super easy and also fun to enjoy after they are done.
Lay plastic spoons (pink and red in color) so that their bowls are level.
For every 8 spoons, melt 6 ounces of white chocolate according to package directions.
Transfer the chocolate to a ziplock bag and cut off corner.
Squeeze chocolate into each spoon and make sure the chocolate levels.
Sprinkle small candies such as redhots or conversational hearts.
Let the chocolate cool completly.
To gift, just wrap in lollipop bags and tie with some ribbon or string.
These are great for the kids to stir into some hot cocoa. Of course they can be eaten directly off the spoon as well.
Thread 3 slices of banana onto a bamboo skewer
Follow with a traingular piece of apple and then 1 grape
Use pretzel sticks to make arms and mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons
Lastly take a carrot sliver and make the nose
These are cute and the kids can help you make them while they are stuck inside on a snow day.
The magazine had a recipe for a great drink, but I just used regular white chocolate cocoa mix and then topped it off with the frosty on top. If you want to use the recipe from the magazine it is as follows:
Warm some milk, adding 2 teaspoons of sugar per cup
Pour mixture into mugs and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract into each mug
Top with a dollop of whipped cream
Place a candy corn for the nose and chocolate chips for the eyes and smile.
Enjoy this drink immediatly!!!
All of these fun ideas came from Disney’s Family Fun Magazine. I love this magazine because they always have fun crafts and recipes that my kids enjoy. This edition is packed with great ideas and crafts that the kids and I intend on doing. I just wanted to show you what we have done so far that they loved.
